As demand for integrated logistics solutions continues to grow, warehouse capacity has become an increasingly important part of supply chain planning, particularly for businesses operating around Thailand’s major ports and industrial areas. For Sino Logistics Corporation (SINO), expanding its warehouse network near Laem Chabang Port represents a strategic step in strengthening its role as a comprehensive logistics service provider.

The company recently launched two new warehouses in Chonburi, further enhancing its service capabilities and reinforcing its long-term plan to build a more complete logistics network. Although SINO began as a sea freight forwarder, the company has steadily broadened its business over the past 16 years, developing a wider portfolio of services to support customers across different industries.
Warehousing has become one of SINO’s key business units, supporting both its core freight forwarding operations and its wider ambition to provide more end-to-end logistics solutions. In this issue, LM spoke with Mr. Nanmanus Witthayasakpant, CEO of SINO Logistics, and Mr. Nuntavit Chanindech, Vice President of Warehouse, to discuss the company’s warehouse expansion, service development, and future growth strategy.
Expanding Capacity at Laem Chabang

Since 2022, SINO has continued to expand its warehouse network in response to rising demand for storage space near Laem Chabang Port. The company currently provides both general and bonded warehousing services, supporting a wide range of cargo types, including alcohol, tobacco, and temperature-controlled products. This enables SINO to serve customers from different industries while offering greater flexibility in cargo handling and storage.
The latest expansion includes a 7,296 square meter general warehouse and a 2,760 square meter bonded warehouse. With these two new facilities, SINO’s total warehouse area has reached 43,584 square meters, strengthening its presence in one of Thailand’s most important logistics locations.
“Since launching our warehouse services, we have expanded to four warehouse areas near Laem Chabang Port. The first is a general warehouse, the second is a bonded warehouse, the third consists of six bonded warehouses located within the same compound, and the latest is a new general warehouse that has just opened. With a total of nine warehouses located within 10 kilometers of Laem Chabang Port, we are able to manage and deliver goods with greater convenience and efficiency,” Mr. Nanmanus said.
The expansion reflects SINO’s focus on building a strong warehouse network close to key transport infrastructure. By operating near Laem Chabang Port, the company can support faster cargo movement, reduce inland transportation time, and provide more responsive services to importers, exporters, and manufacturers in the surrounding industrial areas.

Smarter Warehouse Management

Alongside physical expansion, SINO is also investing in technology to improve warehouse efficiency and service transparency. The company currently uses a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage storage space, track inventory, and support daily operations with greater accuracy.
According to SINO, the system enables its team to generate reports within one day and respond to customer inquiries within 15 minutes. This ability to provide timely information has become increasingly important as customers require faster updates and greater visibility across their supply chains.
“Our systems can support the basic needs of our customers, but some cases still require manual customization. To provide more detailed and comprehensive services, we are looking for a new system that will allow us to generate tailored reports within a single platform. It should also allow customers to log in and check the status of their orders in real time,” Mr. Nuntavit said.
Security is another important part of SINO’s warehouse management approach. The company’s warehouses are equipped with high-resolution CCTV cameras and backup batteries to ensure continuous recording, with playback history available for more than 60 days. These measures help strengthen cargo security and support operational standards across each stage of storage and handling.

Building a Greener Warehouse Model
SINO is also incorporating sustainability into its warehouse development plans. The company has installed energy-efficient LED lighting across warehouse and office areas, while also using electric forklifts with non-marking tires. These forklifts help reduce dust and emissions inside the warehouse, supporting a cleaner and safer working environment for employees.
“SINO has a clear goal and vision to drive business growth alongside social and environmental responsibility. We are accelerating our studies and the development of a Green Warehouse initiative using solar cells and eco-friendly technologies. Both our general and bonded warehouses are expected to be equipped with solar panels by next year,” Mr. Nanmanus said.
The company’s sustainability direction reflects a wider shift in the logistics industry, where customers increasingly expect service providers to operate more efficiently while reducing environmental impact. For SINO, green warehouse development is not only part of its corporate responsibility, but also a way to build long-term competitiveness as supply chain requirements continue to evolve.
Planning for Strategic Growth

Vice President of Warehouse
With its warehousing business recording steady growth over the past five years, SINO is preparing to expand beyond the Laem Chabang area. The company aims to increase its warehouse space in the Laem Chabang area to 50,000 square meters this year, before pursuing a broader expansion plan in other strategic locations.
“This year, we aim to expand our warehouse space in the Laem Chabang area to 50,000 square meters, while setting a goal to reach 100,000 square meters in strategic locations including Bangkok, Samut Prakan, and Rayong within three years. We intend to establish a network that covers as many key industrial hubs and port areas as possible,” Mr. Nuntavit said.
By developing warehouses near manufacturing bases, industrial zones, and port areas, SINO aims to provide customers with more efficient access to storage, transportation, and distribution services. The strategy also supports the company’s sea freight forwarding business, which already has a strong customer base and can be further strengthened through integrated warehouse solutions.
More Than Storage

For SINO, warehouse management is not simply about providing storage space. A warehouse plays a central role in logistics and supply chain management, supporting inventory accuracy, cargo availability, and efficient distribution.
“A warehouse serves as the central hub for the accurate recording of all inventories, from receiving and inspecting to storing, picking, packing, and shipping. Every step must be efficient, precise, and secure, because inventory is the lifeblood of our clients’ businesses. Our role is not just to store goods, but to ensure that our clients’ operations can run seamlessly and accurately,” Mr. Nuntavit said.
This approach highlights the growing importance of warehouses as strategic logistics facilities. By helping customers manage space more effectively, access information faster, and plan inventory with greater accuracy, SINO’s warehousing services can support better production planning and more efficient supply chain management.
The company’s warehouse network near Thailand’s strategic ports also provides practical benefits for customers, including reduced transportation costs, faster distribution, and customs-related advantages. For bonded warehouse users, the ability to defer duty and tax payments until goods are imported can also help improve financial liquidity.
As SINO continues to expand its warehouse network and upgrade its service standards, warehousing is set to play an increasingly important role in the company’s long-term growth. Through strategic locations, stronger technology, and a clear focus on sustainable operations, SINO aims to provide customers with more than storage space, offering logistics solutions that support business continuity, efficiency, and future growth.
