Global transport and logistics provider GEODIS has deployed a new electric vehicle (EV) delivery fleet in Ho Chi Minh City, advancing its lower-carbon logistics initiatives and supporting Vietnam’s transition toward sustainable urban mobility.
The deployment positions GEODIS among the early logistics companies to introduce electric-powered urban distribution in the Vietnamese market.
Last-Mile Solutions for Retail and Luxury Sectors
To service B2B and B2C last-mile deliveries for clients across the luxury and retail sectors, GEODIS has added the VinFast EC Van 2026 to its local fleet.
Engineered for dense urban environments, the vehicle combines compact dimensions with high cargo efficiency, ensuring reliable navigation through city streets while generating zero tailpipe emissions and reducing operational noise.
Chandler So, Managing Director of GEODIS Vietnam, noted that the deployment aims to demonstrate that electric vehicles can meet customer requirements for speed, flexibility, and reliability in real-world urban settings. The initiative provides operational data to help scale lower-carbon delivery models as market demand evolves.
Ecosystem Collaboration and Strategic Scaling
GEODIS is collaborating with local ecosystem partners—including vehicle manufacturers and charging infrastructure developers—to build operational reliability, support fleet readiness, and prepare for future scalability.
The Vietnamese deployment aligns with GEODIS’ broader regional strategy across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East to integrate electric and biodiesel vehicles into first- and last-mile transport operations where technically and operationally feasible.
