As commerce and investment continue to grow across the ASEAN region, cross-border logistics has become central to regional economic connectivity. Businesses now expect freight to move with greater speed, accuracy, and safety, supported by seamless transport solutions from origin to destination.

Against this backdrop, Kingcross Logistics has emerged as one of Thailand’s specialist cross-border logistics service providers. The company’s strength lies in multimodal transportation across land, rail, sea, and air freight, connecting Thailand with Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, and China, while also extending its services to destinations worldwide.
Behind the company’s growth is not only an expanding network, but also a business philosophy built around safety, technology, and people. These foundations have helped Kingcross move towards international standards while strengthening its role in regional logistics. In this issue, LM spoke with Ms. Warunya Pimsa-ard and Mr. Samatthapol Punyaisawa, Managing Directors of Kingcross Logistics, about the company’s business philosophy, customer service approach, and future growth direction.

Scaling Expertise into Regional Networks
Kingcross Logistics was founded in 2019 by two energetic executives: Ms. Warunya Pimsa-ard, who has direct experience in cross-border logistics across Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Southern China; and Mr. Samatthapol Punyaisawa, who brings extensive experience in fuel cost management and accounting.

“With direct experience as an expatriate working in cross-border cargo transportation in Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia for over ten years, combined with a specialised network, an educational background in international cargo transport business management, and a strong interest in geography, we have developed a deep understanding of the unique transport characteristics of each country, including laws, customs, culture, and infrastructure,” Ms. Warunya said. “This allows the company to manage risks before shipments even take place, design appropriate logistics solutions that meet customer needs effectively, and build strong confidence in highly complex international operations.”
Kingcross’ headquarters and truck yard are located on Bangna-Trad Road KM 5, a strategic logistics location in Thailand. The site offers convenient connectivity to Bangkok Port, Laem Chabang Port, Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Customs Department, and major industrial zones. This supports greater agility in documentation, cargo pick-up and delivery, and end-to-end transport management. The company has also established permanent offices in Yangon, Myanmar, and Hanoi, Vietnam, to support regional operations and serve customers more closely.
“We developed our logistics network under the concept of the North-East-West-South Economic Corridor to support the rapid growth of the ASEAN region and Asia,” Ms. Warunya said. “This year, we expanded our operational bases to Ranong and Phitsanulok to unlock strategic routes connecting Mainland China and ASEAN markets to two oceans: the Indian Ocean through BIMSTEC and the Pacific Ocean.”
“We aim to transform Thailand’s geographical advantage into a tangible gateway through multimodal transportation that supports sustainability at competitive costs. Although the rail system in some areas, such as Ranong, is still under development, we choose to stay grounded by managing available resources with maximum efficiency and building sustainable success from today. While major routes such as the Malacca Strait remain vital, in a world full of uncertainty, a backup route is a strategic alternative that stands ready as a solution for trade partners.”
The company’s two-ocean connectivity network focuses on two main routes. The North-South route connects Chiang Khong, China, Laos, Thailand, and Ranong as a gateway to the Indian Ocean. The East-West route connects Vietnam, Phitsanulok, Ranong, and Yangon, linking the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

“Kingcross does not just transport cargo; we are building trade security for the region to ensure that no matter which direction the world shifts, our routes will remain a sustainable and dependable solution,” Ms. Warunya added.
The company initially received strong support from Thai business associations in Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam, as well as Thai business council networks in neighbouring countries. It later expanded its customer base to serve entrepreneurs across various industries in Thailand and overseas, becoming a key player in today’s cross-border logistics market.
Comprehensive Fleet and Transport Network
A key strength of Kingcross is its ability to provide comprehensive multimodal transport services across land, sea, air, and rail, enabling the company to design specific transport methods and routes for individual customer requirements.

“The company owns a diverse fleet of vehicles, including four-wheelers, six-wheelers, ten-wheelers, tractor heads, trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, low-bed trailers, and extra-long trailers,” Mr. Samatthapol said. “Kingcross’ transport services are therefore ready to accommodate a wide variety of cargo types, ranging from industrial raw materials, machinery, and consumer goods to oversized cargo and project cargo. Moreover, the company holds international transport permits and cargo insurance of 5 million baht per vehicle, with customs expert teams stationed at various ports and border checkpoints to facilitate fast customs clearance in compliance with each country’s regulations.”
“In addition to our own fleet, we also work with local trucking partners in Malaysia, Singapore, and the CLMVT region, all of which have passed the company’s selection criteria and standards. This gives us access to more than 300 vehicles and ensures that services in every country meet the same standard. Furthermore, all company drivers receive defensive driving training every year to ensure they are prepared for new transport routes that are consistently challenging and difficult to access.”

One of the company’s standout services is LTL Consolidation, which consolidates cargo from multiple origins, including factories, warehouses, ports, and airports, before delivering shipments to their destinations. With its extensive service network, Kingcross has also introduced LTL Consolidation Ranong, transporting goods by road to Ranong Port before connecting to BIMSTEC countries and other destinations worldwide. This helps improve cost and time efficiency for customers.
Kingcross also offers 2Door Express, an express delivery service for small parcels to destinations worldwide, supported by comprehensive documentation and application services to reduce operational complexity for customers.
“We can deliver small parcels, from document envelopes to customers’ doorsteps, as the name 2Door, or ‘to door’, implies, even in hard-to-reach and remote areas,” said Ms. Panjalak Sirichotvanich, Manager of 2Door Express. “In neighbouring countries such as Myanmar, for example, we have successfully provided last-mile delivery to hotels in mountainous areas such as Taunggyi. Customers’ goods remain safe and undamaged because we pay close attention to every step, from repacking by our own team to final delivery.”
Tech-Driven Operations, Safety-Focused Standards
Another key factor behind Kingcross’ customer trust is its integration of technology to enhance transport efficiency and safety. Mr. Samatthapol has been certified as a Transport Safety Manager (TSM), playing a vital role in supervising safety policies, accident prevention, cost management, and driver well-being.

“Kingcross prioritises the concept of Safety Well-Being Technology, which views safety not only as a matter of rules and regulations, but also as taking care of the quality of life and working environment of all employees, especially drivers, who are regarded as transport experts rather than general operators,” Mr. Samatthapol said.
The company has implemented AI-powered telematics for fleet management, helping analyse vehicle conditions and driver behaviour in greater depth. Its Predictive Maintenance system forecasts maintenance requirements in advance, reducing the risk of breakdowns during operations and minimising disruption to cargo delivery. A driver behaviour tracking system also evaluates driving safety through scoring and feedback, helping motivate employees and continuously build a safety culture within the organisation. The success of this approach is reflected in the company’s continuous zero-accident record on the road since its establishment.
For cargo tracking, Kingcross uses GPS and an e-Lock system to monitor vehicles and container status in real time, 24 hours a day. The company believes the heart of its service lies in the KC Job Management system, an in-house platform developed and customised to allow customers to access their cargo status quickly and easily through omni-channel options, including email, Line, WeChat, and Telegram. Kingcross also provides a professional CS Monitor team to closely oversee shipments and offer support, ensuring that every transport movement is fast, transparent, safe, and delivered precisely to its destination.
“Kingcross has elevated its operations to the ISO 39001 international standard, driven by data dashboards and a decarbonisation strategy through the Eco Move project in collaboration with the Bureau of Logistics, Department of Industrial Promotion, to reduce costs and greenhouse gas emissions,” Mr. Samatthapol said. “We have already taken concrete action by auditing our Corporate Carbon Footprint as we move towards sustainable business goals and work to meet the strict standards of global clients by 2030.”
Investing in Talent, Building for the Future
Beyond investment in technology, Kingcross places strong value on human resource development, which serves as a key driver of organisational growth. The company has built a capable team with multilingual communication skills in English, Chinese, Myanmar, and Vietnamese, helping ensure smooth and efficient coordination with clients and partners in each country.

The company also emphasises learning from real experience by arranging for staff from various departments to visit border checkpoints and trade routes. This enables employees to gain deeper insight into each operational stage and strengthen their professional expertise.
To reinforce its international standards, Kingcross recently supported Ms. Panyarat Boonsaner, CS Team Lead, to undergo training with the International Air Transport Association (IATA). She successfully completed the course and earned the IATA DGR certification for handling dangerous goods by air, achieving an outstanding test score of 96 percent. This marks an important step in aligning with new Civil Aviation Authority regulations, which require air dangerous goods freight forwarders to be directly certified.
Ms. Warunya also highlighted the business principles that the company strongly upholds through practical measures. Although Kingcross has the personnel, competitiveness, and operational capacity to serve customers directly, the company remains committed to protecting its partners.
“One of the core factors that allows us to earn trust as an ASEAN regional player is honesty towards our partners,” Ms. Warunya said. “Although the company serves both freight forwarders and end-users directly, we firmly adhere to a non-circumvention policy. We strictly do not bypass our partners to approach their clients directly. Instead, we focus on establishing transparent agreements from the start to protect mutual interests sustainably and grow together with our partners in the long run.”

Leading the Future of Regional Logistics
Although Kingcross Logistics has achieved rapid growth within just a few years, the company remains focused on long-term development. Its priorities include expanding transport networks, investing in technology, elevating safety standards, and developing human resource capabilities.
“Our goal for the next phase is to expand our service network to cover more new destinations, while strengthening our ability to support the demands of global clients who place great emphasis on standards, transparency, and business sustainability,” Ms. Warunya said.
From its beginnings as a Thai-owned logistics company to its current role as a regional multimodal transport specialist, Kingcross is demonstrating how deep on-the-ground experience, international standards, service quality, safety, personnel development, and integrity towards partners can help drive Thailand’s logistics industry forward on the global stage.
