Royal Den Hartogh Thailand Logistics has announced recent milestones toward its regional development goals, which emphasize sustainability, innovation, and building long-term collaborations.
These all came to focus during a joint media shoot that took place at DP World’s cutting-edge terminal onboard the QINGDAO TOWER from CNC Line, a subsidiary of CMA CGM, showcasing the scope and precision of Den Hartogh within the global logistics chain.

Green Logistics Advocates: EV Trucks on the Move
Following the Den Hartogh Environmental Sustainability Roadmap 2025, the company’s Thai office is focused on decarbonizing transport by using zero-emission electric trucks. As with all the company’s goals, this initiative came about through collaboration, with JWD Transport (Thailand) Co., Ltd. being awarded the contract for empty container repositioning in and around central logistics hubs.
Electric vehicles have become especially effective in short-haul distances, so Den Hartogh’s operational zones are a perfect fit for them to showcase their carbon-saving applications. Economically and environmentally, this is a win-win, and Den Hartogh’s sustainability work in Thailand makes it clear that words are being put into action.

Modernizing the Fleet with Efficiency in Mind

Alongside adopting the use of electric vehicles, the company has further enhanced their long-haul capabilities by purchasing DAF XG 480 FT trucks. These next-generation, heavy-duty vehicles offer an array of safety features, fueling agility-enhancing systems for engine efficiency and aerodynamics in scalable cabs.
“With one of Europe’s largest chemical trucking fleets and next-generation vehicles like the DAF XG 480 FT, Den Hartogh leads the way in safe, efficient, and sustainable logistics across the continent,” Mr. Alex Kritchaphon Anuvattanaphorn, GM Thailand & Indochina, Den Hartogh Thailand stated.
Beyond their technical enhancements, these vehicles aid Den Hartogh in achieving the wider goal of reducing CO₂ emissions by 25% by 2025. The goal also aims to improve working conditions for drivers and enhance reliability for customers.
Supporting a Broad Base of Logistics Services
Den Hartogh’s Thailand office is a key element in strengthening the company’s Asia-Pacific network. A local team covers logistics solutions within the core areas of dry bulk, liquids, and gases. Each segment uses specially designed equipment and protocols tailored to highly regulated and quality-sensitive industries.

Dry bulk logistics: The transportation of resins, powders, and polymers is conducted with food-grade silo containers using pneumatic transfer systems that are contamination-free.
Liquid logistics: Den Hartogh has a dedicated fleet of ISO tank containers, which allow the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous liquids, including food-grade materials, chemicals, and solvents.
Gas logistics: Its gas logistics services are equally supported by pressurised tanks, used for transporting liquefied gases such as LPG, industrial refrigerants, and specialty gases, under strict safety regulations.
Den Hartogh systematically modifies its infrastructural and technological provisions to ensure precise and regulated transportation. As noted in the ITCO 2025 report, the company now operates over 23,000 ISO tanks in 47 countries, strengthening its position as one of the global leaders in ISO Tank logistics.
Growing Presence in Food Logistics
The acquisition of H&S Group has enabled Den Hartogh to expand its food-grade logistics, as the Group is known for transporting liquid food products throughout Europe. Den Hartogh is now able to use a more sophisticated network, proprietary cleaning stations, and temperature-controlled food-grade systems.
This enables the company to provide logistical support for edible oils, sweeteners, dairy products, and juices while ensuring better adherence to hygiene and safety standards. For the Thai market, where the need for food-grade logistics is increasing, this is a significant development, especially now that Den Hartogh is fully able to provide comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for numerous industries.

Awards for Responsible Business Conduct
Den Hartogh has won two major awards for the advancement of its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. The company received a Gold Medal from EcoVadis in January 2025, which placed them among the top 5% of the companies evaluated for their sustainability, ethics, and environmental management.
The company also earned a GOLD Award from Dow for outstanding performance in social responsibility, sustainability, safety, and service excellence. These awards demonstrate Den Hartogh’s global capability of integrating operational efficiency with responsible corporate citizenship.
Collaboration and Connectivity on Display
Pursuing longer and more fruitful partnerships, Den Hartogh recently joined a media shoot that showcased its regional operations at DP World’s Laem Chabang International Terminal (LCIT) and onboard a QINGDAO TOWER. The company showcased its collaboration with other key players in the logistics chain to deliver cross-border transport services.
This came in handy simultaneously with the spotlight Q&A with the client that highlighted Den Hartogh’s strong position in Thailand’s industrial and export economy.
Client Focus: Thai MMA Co., Ltd.

One of the company’s esteemed partners is Thai MMA Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. and SCG Chemicals Co., Ltd. Established in 1997, the company is one of the primary producers of methyl methacrylate (MMA), which is used in several products such as acrylic plastics, coatings, and adhesives.
“Thai MMA services a wide export range from Map Ta Phut to Rayong. Den Hartogh provides tank container logistics for their outbound shipments, facilitating the transport of expensive chemical goods to their international clients,” said Mr. Alex. “This partnership demonstrates Den Hartogh’s trust as a service provider and long-term partner in the chemical industry of Thailand,” he added.
Celebrating a Century of Excellence
In 2025, Den Hartogh will celebrate 104 years of continuous operation since it was founded in the Netherlands in 1920. Starting as a local business, it has grown into a globally respected logistics provider while remaining family-owned and privately managed across generations.
The company has always balanced tradition with innovation, evolving from early barge transportation to becoming a forerunner in intermodal chemical logistics. Its longevity can be credited to a values-based culture built on safety, service loyalty, and a focus on long-term partnerships—principles that remain central to its strategy today.
Even after a century, Den Hartogh’s commitment to responsible growth, employee development, and close customer collaboration continues to guide the company forward, unchanged and unwavering.

Set for Ongoing Influence
With Den Hartogh Thailand expanding, its global reach alongside local knowledge will be pivotal in driving innovation. While fostering collaboration with customers, partners, and communities, whether through zero-emission trucking, expansion into food logistics, or next-generation fleet upgrades, the company is building a safety-, sustainability-, and operational excellence-rooted, future-ready platform.
