Pacific International Lines (PIL) is enhancing its presence in Latin America with the launch of two new dedicated feeder services. The new West Coast Central America Feeder 1 (CA1) and West Coast Central America Feeder 2 (CA2) services are designed to strengthen connectivity to key markets in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and El Salvador.
The CA2 service began operations on August 31, 2025, from Lázaro Cárdenas, Mexico. The CA1 service is scheduled to commence on September 9, 2025, from Buenaventura, Colombia. The new routes are set to complement PIL’s existing West Coast South America (WCSA) services and offer more comprehensive access to the region’s ports.
New Services to Support Regional Trade Growth
The CA1 and CA2 services will leverage PIL’s modern fleet and operational expertise to ensure a seamless integration with its broader global network. The CA1 port rotation is as follows: Buenaventura – Corinto – Puerto Caldera – Buenaventura. The CA2 service will operate a rotation of: Lázaro Cárdenas – Acajutla – Lázaro Cárdenas.
According to William Ho, General Manager of Long Haul Trade, Line Management at PIL, the new services reflect the company’s continued support for Latin America’s growing trade landscape. By expanding its network and deploying more vessels, PIL aims to improve its service coverage and help customers take advantage of the region’s growth potential.
