Hyster-Yale Materials Handling announced that it has been awarded a Bronze medal in the latest EcoVadis sustainability assessment. This marks the company’s third consecutive year of participation with the globally trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.
The EcoVadis rating assesses a company’s performance across four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Hyster-Yale successfully increased its rating in all four categories compared to its 2024 performance, demonstrating a sustained commitment to responsible business practices.
Don Buckman, Environmental Health and Safety Manager for Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, commented on the achievement, stating that corporate responsibility is a core value integral to the company’s vision of transforming the way the world moves materials. He added that the rating “speaks volumes toward the consistency and depth of our initiatives across the board, as well as our team’s continuous dedication to improvement and detail.”
Hyster-Yale’s continuous improvement efforts resulted in an increase of four points from its previous year’s total score. This elevated performance placed the company in the 77th percentile of all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide, recognizing it as one of the top 35% of organizations evaluated. EcoVadis employs strict, expert-applied scoring guidelines to measure the quality of a company’s sustainability management system through its policies, actions, and results, having been applied to more than 150,000 companies across over 250 industries and 185 countries.
