Intra-Asia container carrier Regional Container Lines (RCL) has announced the launch of its new weekly South China–Cambodia–Thailand service, branded as the RSK3 loop.

Commencing with its maiden voyage from Nansha on October 16, 2026, the service deploys two 1,100 TEU container vessels to link Southern China directly with Sihanoukville and the Southern Thai port of Songkhla.

Service Rotation and Schedule Proforma

The RSK3 loop operates on a streamlined 14-day port rotation designed to maximize schedule reliability and transit speed:

  • Port Rotation: Nansha (Fri/Fri) – Shekou (Sat/Sat) – Sihanoukville (Thu/Fri) – Songkhla (Sat/Sun) – Nansha.
  • Vessel Deployment: Deploys the MTT Saisunee and MTT Senari to maintain weekly fixed-day departures.
  • Transit Speed Optimization: Reduces intermediate port calls to provide direct, rapid connections between South China’s main export gateways and Cambodian and Southern Thai markets.

Regional Trade and Supply Chain Impact

The new loop provides expanded logistical coverage for South China and Regional Thailand:

Direct Connectivity for Southern Thailand: Offers shippers in Southern Thailand a direct sea link to South China hubs without requiring transshipment through Bangkok or Laem Chabang.

Intra-Asia Trade Expansion: Supports growing manufacturing, raw material, and industrial product flows between China, Cambodia, and Thailand.

Executive Commentary

An RCL spokesperson noted that the RSK3 service was structured to deliver a fast, highly punctual 14-day loop that connects Southern Thailand directly into broader regional logistics networks via South China hub ports.
