Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT), under the leadership of Mr. Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director, has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental responsibility by making a charitable donation to the Foundation for Khao Yai National Park Protection. The donation was formally received by General Surayud Chulanont, President of the foundation, in support of ongoing efforts to conserve natural resources and promote public-benefit activities across Thailand.

In parallel, HPT contributed to the “Next Gen Go Beyond Go Green” project, which focuses on marine and coastal resource conservation with a special emphasis on preserving mangrove forests. This initiative is designed to raise environmental awareness and encourage participation among younger generations, helping to protect marine biodiversity and foster long-term sustainability along Thailand’s coasts.

As part of the “Next Gen Go Beyond Go Green” programme, HPT employees also took part in mangrove tree planting at a local coastal site. This hands-on activity supports ecosystem restoration and strengthens natural coastal defences against marine disasters, reflecting the company’s broader commitment to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.
