TIPS Co., Ltd. (TIPS) recently welcomed customs delegations from Laos and Kunming to its Single Rail Transfer Operator (SRTO) facility as part of its efforts to foster international cooperation and promote operational transparency.
On 8 August, the Laem Chabang Port Customs Office facilitated a study visit for a delegation from Lao Customs, led by the Deputy Director General and accompanied by 13 senior officials. The visit focused on inland container depot (ICD) procedures and real-time cargo movement monitoring via rail. TIPS representatives, including Mr. Rungpetch Intharahus, Operation Department Manager; Ms. Isariyaporn Yanubol, Customer Relations Division Manager; and Mr. Chanon Saksereekoon, Ship Planning & Yard Supervisor, guided the delegation through the SRTO operations and discussed intermodal logistics processes.
A second visit took place on 14 August, when a delegation from Kunming Customs observed the SRTO in action and received a comprehensive overview of TIPS’s rail container transport operations. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange technical knowledge and strengthen regional customs collaboration in support of cross-border logistics efficiency.
These engagements reflect TIPS’s ongoing commitment to enhancing international partnerships and advancing multimodal connectivity within the ASEAN region.
