CULines has launched its new JCT Service, a direct shipping route connecting major ports in Japan, China, and Thailand. The service commenced its operations on July 8, with the first sailing of the vessel Matoya Bay from Tokyo. The new route is designed to expand CULines’ network and provide enhanced logistics solutions for customers in the region.
Key Ports and Transshipment Opportunities
The JCT Service follows a weekly rotation that includes Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, Shekou, Nansha, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong, and then returns to Shekou and Tokyo. This rotation effectively integrates five major ports in Japan with CULines’ self-operated terminals in South China and its existing network in Thailand.
A core feature of the service is its transshipment capability. Cargo originating from Japan can be routed through the Nansha and Shekou hubs, allowing it to connect with CULines’ broader network. This provides seamless transportation options to distant regions, including the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, the Red Sea, and the East Mediterranean.
