Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT), in collaboration with the Thai International Cargo and Container Terminals Association (TICTA), organised a joint tree planting activity on 9 September 2025 at the Laem Chabang Port Development Control Tower.
The event, titled Plant Trees, Create Green Space, was led by Mr. Anat Machima, Chief Operating Officer of Hutchison Ports Thailand and President of TICTA, and brought together association members, executives from the Port Authority of Thailand, and representatives from Laem Chabang Port.
More than 80 participants joined the initiative, planting Silver Trumpet Trees and Mahogany trees to enhance the area’s green space. The initiative is part of a broader effort to create a more shaded environment, help absorb carbon dioxide, and mitigate the effects of climate change.
The event underscores the shared commitment of HPT, TICTA, and Laem Chabang Port to sustainable port development and environmental stewardship.
