Global logistics and terminal operator DP World has opened a new 11,514-square-meter warehouse facility in Johor, Malaysia, expanding its contract logistics footprint across Southeast Asia.
Located within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, the facility serves as a cross-border hub strengthening end-to-end supply chain connectivity between Malaysia, Singapore, and wider regional trade corridors.
Facility Capabilities and Regional Expansion Roadmap
The Johor asset is part of a broader, multi-market logistics investment strategy across Asia-Pacific:
- Malaysian Operations: Marks the first of two planned logistics facilities in Malaysia, with a second warehouse scheduled to open in Kuala Lumpur later this year.
- Regional Footprint: Precedes upcoming warehouse launches in the Philippines and Thailand, adding to existing sites opened in Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Icheon.
- Target Sectors: Designed to support time-sensitive supply chains across key industry verticals, including technology, fashion, automotive, and industrial manufacturing.
- Ecosystem Integration: Connects landside warehousing and inland freight with DP World’s regional network of 16 ports and terminals, alongside air, ocean, LCL, and intermodal freight capabilities.
Executive Commentary
Jeanie Tan, Chief Commercial Officer, Logistics, Asia Pacific at DP World, stated that integrating the new Johor facility into the company’s port and logistics network enhances supply chain resilience and delivers scalable contract logistics capacity for clients across Southeast Asia.
