On 16 July 2025, Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) welcomed a high-level delegation from COSCO SHIPPING SEA to Terminal D at Laem Chabang Port. The visit was led by Mr. Wang Shanhe, Chairman and President of COSCO SHIPPING SEA, and hosted by Mr. Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director – Hutchison Ports Thailand & Southeast Asia, along with Mr. Anat Machima, Chief Operating Officer.
The delegation was given a comprehensive overview of HPT’s operations and toured the state-of-the-art terminal facilities, which feature advanced technologies such as remote-controlled container handling equipment and autonomous electric terminal tractors. The visit also highlighted HPT’s commitment to digital innovation, with demonstrations of services designed to enhance customer experience, including online payment systems.
The visit served as a platform for exchanging views on operational excellence and exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration between Hutchison Ports and COSCO SHIPPING SEA. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and jointly advancing logistics capabilities in Southeast Asia.
