Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) has taken delivery of seven new remote-controlled electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes  to enhance the efficiency and capacity of yard operations at Terminal D. The cranes arrived on 15 October 2025 and mark another step in the terminal’s development as a smart, sustainable terminal for container handling.

The new equipment expands Terminal D’s operating fleet to 43 remote-controlled electric rubber tyred cranes, significantly improving yard coverage and operational resilience. The expansion aligns with HPT’s ongoing strategy to modernise its fleet with modern, environmentally friendly technologies.

In addition to increasing handling efficiency, these cranes also support HPT’s Green Port ambitions by reducing carbon emissions and promoting the adoption of clean energy solutions. This investment is part of a wider commitment across Hutchison Ports to implement sustainable logistics infrastructure and ensure long-term environmental performance.
