Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has officially appointed DP World as its Official Logistics Partner in a multi-year global agreement that covers the highest tiers of motorcycle racing. The partnership, announced at a dedicated event at the DP World Pavilion in Expo City Dubai, will see the logistics giant power the operations for Yamaha’s teams in MotoGP, WorldSBK, and WorldSSP.

The collaboration arrives at a pivotal moment for Yamaha, as the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team enters its highly anticipated “V4 era” with a completely redesigned YZR-M1 engine.

Precision Logistics for a High-Speed Calendar

Motorsport logistics is one of the world’s most demanding environments, requiring the movement of tons of high-precision equipment across five continents within tight windows. DP World will leverage its global network of ports and smart supply chain solutions to ensure “flawless execution” for every race weekend.

Partnership Highlights:

  • End-to-End Support: DP World will provide strategic counsel and integrated logistics planning for the 22-round MotoGP season and the global WorldSBK circuit.
  • Streamlined Operations: The focus is on increasing “reaction speed”—the ability to move parts and hospitality infrastructure across borders with absolute precision.
  • Global Visibility: The DP World logo now features prominently on the factory YZR-M1 bikes of Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins, as well as the R1 machines in the WorldSBK paddock.

Innovation Beyond the Paddock

While the partnership ensures that bikes and spare parts arrive on time, it also aims to drive innovation within the broader Yamaha Motor Group. Paolo Pavesio, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, noted that the collaboration will explore “practical logistics challenges,” including hospitality logistics and the efficient delivery of commercial goods in Europe.

For DP World, Yamaha joins an elite sports portfolio that includes McLaren F1, SailGP, and the DP World Tour (Golf). This move further solidifies DP World’s role as the go-to partner for industries where every millisecond—and every mile—counts.

2026: A Season of Transformation

The logistics partnership is just one part of a major overhaul for Yamaha in 2026. On the track, fans are preparing for:

  • The V4 Revolution: The switch from an inline-four to a V4 engine in MotoGP, aimed at reclaiming top-speed dominance.
  • New Faces: In WorldSBK, Xavi Vierge and Stefano Manzi join the factory efforts to push the R1 back to the front of the pack.
  • The Thai Opener: The 2026 season officially kicks off in Buriram, Thailand (February 27 – March 1), marking the first time the country has hosted the opening round.
