
DP World and Balco Australia have signed a new multi-year agreement to enhance the efficiency and supply chain resilience of Australia’s forage export sector.
Under the renewed partnership, DP World will serve as a primary logistics provider, facilitating the movement of Balco’s forage products from regional production sites to Australian export gateways for international distribution.
Logistics Scope and Volume Capabilities
The agreement outlines integrated landside transport and supply chain services to support Balco’s global export strategy:
- Annual Freight Volume: Covers the transport and handling of more than 10,000 TEUs annually.
- Asset and Account Investment: Includes dedicated investments in specialized road transport assets, equipment management solutions, and dedicated account management.
- Operational Services: Combines DP World’s integrated national road transport network, equipment management services, and terminal access to optimize movement from regional farms to global buyers.
Strategic Impact on Agricultural Exports
Nicolaj Noes, Executive Vice President for Oceania at DP World, emphasized that combining port access with landside transport capabilities will streamline export logistics for regional agricultural producers.
Linda Xu, General Manager of Logistics & Fulfillment at Balco Australia, noted that DP World’s integrated logistics network provides the stability and operational efficiency necessary to support Balco’s continued international market expansion.
