Regional container carrier Samudera has introduced the Khor Fakkan India Express (KIX) service, expanding its regional liner network with direct sea connections between West India and the Persian Gulf.
The fixed weekly feeder loop is engineered to link major West Indian container hubs with Gulf ports, offering transshipment access into Samudera’s broader service network across South Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, and the Far East.
Service Rotation and Fleet Operations
The service commenced its maiden voyage on July 14, 2026, with the departure of the Kuo Lung (voyage 1001W) from Nhava Sheva.
Operational parameters and port call details for the KIX service include:
- Port Rotation: Nhava Sheva (BMCT) – Mundra (MICT) – Khor Fakkan (KCT) – Nhava Sheva (BMCT).
- Fleet Deployment: Utilizes two container vessels operating on a 14-day total round-trip rotation.
- Sailing Schedule: Offers fixed-day weekly calls to maintain regular supply chain connectivity for regional importers and exporters.
