Intra-Asia shipping operator SITC International Holdings Co., Ltd. (SITC) hosted a naming and delivery ceremony for its new container vessel, M/V SITC BRAVE, built by Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
The delivery documents were officially signed by Ji Wenguang, President of SITC Shipping, and Chang Junde, General Manager of Huanghai Shipbuilding.
Industry Leadership and Ceremony Highlights
The event brought together executives from SITC, Huanghai Shipbuilding, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT), and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS):
- Vessel Naming & Blessing: Truong Tan Loc, Marketing Director of SNP and Chairman of TCIT, formally christened the vessel. Dao Hong Nhung, Shipping Line Relationship Specialist at SNP, served as the vessel’s godmother.
- Executive Statements: Xue Mingyuan, Executive Director and CEO of SITC, expressed appreciation to the shipyard and project stakeholders, noting that the newbuild strengthens SITC’s high-quality fleet capacity.
Fleet Optimization and Strategic Impact
The addition of M/V SITC BRAVE expands SITC’s operating capacity and optimizes its fleet architecture to support regional intra-Asia trade lanes, advancing the carrier’s focus on operational efficiency and sustainable shipping solutions.
