CEVA Logistics has announced the opening of a new 44,000-square-meter logistics platform in Mably, near Roanne, in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Located in the Éco Parc Bonvert business park, the facility is designed to support the expansion of French e-commerce while strengthening CEVA’s contract logistics network.

Facility Specifications and Handling Capacity

The platform features nearly 42,000 square meters of operational warehouse space, 2,000 square meters of administrative offices, and 41 loading dock doors operating simultaneously to optimize goods receiving and shipment preparation flows.

Operational metrics for the site include:

  • Weekly Order Volume: Processing capacity of 200,000 parcels per week under standard operations, scaling up to 350,000 parcels per week during peak activity periods.
  • Specialized Automation: Equipped with automated sorting systems, high-speed conveyors, advanced inventory management software, and Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) racking to increase storage density and speed up aisle picking.
  • Regional Employment: The site will employ nearly 300 staff members, expanding to 500 workers during seasonal demand spikes.

Sustainable Infrastructure Features

To minimize environmental impact, the building is built with sustainable operational features:

  • Energy Efficiency: Outfitted with 100 percent LED lighting arrays and rooftop solar photovoltaic panels.
  • Low-Emission Handling: Material handling operations rely on an electric fleet of forklifts and pallet trucks.

Contract Logistics Network Expansion

Amaury Montay, Contract Logistics Director for CEVA Logistics France, noted that the facility strengthens the company’s regional footprint and supports client growth in e-commerce.

The Mably site adds to CEVA’s footprint in France, bringing its contract logistics network to 27 facilities totaling over 570,000 square meters, alongside 150,000 square meters of Air & Ocean storage space.
