LOGISTEED, Ltd. has officially introduced its cutting-edge autonomous mobile collaborative robot, “AutonMate,” developed by LOGISTEED Solutions, Ltd. This innovation is set to transform operations at the company’s logistics centre in Kashiwa.

Amidst a declining working-age population, LOGISTEED is striving to optimize its warehouse resources—both personnel and equipment—to enhance productivity and maintain reliable logistics services. The introduction of AutonMate, an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), is a significant step in this endeavour. Unlike traditional Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs), which rely on fixed paths, AutonMate navigates autonomously, avoiding obstacles while assisting human workers in picking operations.

The Kashiwa-no-ha Sales Office of LOGISTEED East Japan, Ltd. has welcomed 16 units of AutonMate, aiming to streamline work processes and promote labour savings through efficient layout optimization.

In traditional picking workflows, workers manually push carts and navigate between shelves. However, with the collaboration of multiple AutonMates, workers can now rely on these robots to guide them, significantly reducing their walking distance and overall labour burden. The robots coordinate to move along the shortest route, enhancing productivity while minimizing congestion.

Key features of AutonMate include:

  1. Streamlined picking assistance that optimizes routes to reduce worker movement and enhance efficiency.
  2. Flexibility in warehouse layout, as dedicated robotic areas are not required, leading to reduced initial implementation costs.
  3. User-friendly warehouse mapping through a handheld controller, allowing for easy adjustments to layouts and decreased operational expenses.

With the integration of AutonMate, LOGISTEED is poised to lead the way in modernizing warehouse practices, ensuring a more efficient and productive logistics environment.
