KLN Logistics Group Europe-Middle East Road Feeder Service

KLN Logistics Group Limited (KLN) has introduced a new road feeder service linking Europe and the Middle East, offering a faster alternative to traditional ocean freight and a lower-cost option compared to air transport.

The 10,500-kilometer overland corridor connects European origins to key markets in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, and Egypt.

Service Parameters and Operating Capabilities

KLN manages the entire journey end-to-end under a single contract, coordinating initial pickup through final delivery:

  • Transit Performance: Delivers door-to-door transit times ranging between 15 and 25 days across the Europe-Middle East route.
  • Cargo Scope: Accommodates non-stackable palletized freight weighing up to 23 tonnes per truck, including dangerous goods shipments requiring specialized overland handling.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Encompasses customs compliance, permits, border clearance coordination, and customs-escorted transit where required. Shippers must provide original documentation at origin and arrange cargo insurance.

Strategic Operational Value

Martin Stoekenbroek, Managing Director – EMEA at KLN, noted that the road service provides a reliable alternative for exporters facing ongoing ocean and air access challenges into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

Darren Baker, Chief Operations Officer – EMEA at KLN, emphasized that managing documentation, permits, and cross-border regulatory procedures under a single operating process provides shippers with consistent supply chain visibility for regional cargo movements.
