The Platinum rating is the highest distinction given by EcoVadis and is widely used by global companies as a standard for supply chain management.
Evaluation and Improvements
EcoVadis evaluates companies annually across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. An HMM official noted that this year, the company not only maintained strong performance in environmental practices but also saw higher scores in Labor & Human Rights and Ethics. These improvements were attributed to initiatives such as strengthening board diversity and enhancing supply chain due diligence.
Industry-Wide Recognition
This recognition from EcoVadis is further supported by another recent achievement. HMM was also named the top global shipping company in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance by Sustainalytics for the second year in a row, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in sustainable management within the industry.
