DHL Supply Chain will manage operations at a vaccine distribution centre operated by Sanofi in Val-de-Reuil, France, expanding its role in the country’s life sciences and healthcare logistics sector.
Under the agreement, DHL Supply Chain will oversee warehousing, inventory management, picking and packing, and order fulfilment activities at the facility. The site supports the storage and distribution of vaccines produced at Sanofi’s Val-de-Reuil manufacturing campus.
Expanding Healthcare Logistics Capabilities
The collaboration forms part of DHL’s broader strategy to strengthen its healthcare logistics network in France and across Europe. The company has been increasing its capabilities in pharmaceutical logistics, including cold chain management and specialised handling processes required for sensitive medical products.
The Val-de-Reuil distribution centre plays an important role in Sanofi’s global vaccine supply chain, supporting the distribution of products to international markets.
Strengthening a Longstanding Partnership
DHL and Sanofi have an established partnership across several countries and logistics operations. The expansion in France is expected to support the efficiency and resilience of Sanofi’s distribution network while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical handling standards.
The initiative also aligns with DHL Group’s wider investment programme in healthcare logistics, which includes a €2 billion commitment to expand its DHL Health Logistics capabilities worldwide.
By integrating warehousing and distribution operations at the Val-de-Reuil site, the partnership aims to support the reliable delivery of vaccines and other healthcare products to global markets.
