At about 9 a.m. on January 15, along with a long whistle, a train fully loaded with 33 cases of auto parts, clothing, machinery tools, bags and agricultural supplies “made in Jiangxi” departed from the Xiangtang International Land Port in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. This RCEP “COSCO Shipping” China-Laos International Train will travel along the newly opened China-Laos Railway and leave the country through the Mohan Border Port and is expected to arrive in Vientiane, Laos, in five days. It is also the first special train carrying Jiangxi-made products that departed from Jiangxi Province after opening the China-Laos Railway.

On January 1, 2022, RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) officially came into force. Grasping the opportunity of RCEP, COSCO SHIPPING Lines Wuhan moved quickly to investigate the needs of customers in Jiangxi Province and carefully organized the operation of the train to address the difficulties faced by foreign trade enterprises in the province.

The launch of the “Xiangtang Nanchang – Vientiane Laos” international train brings the convenience of cargo loading and shipping to the doorstep. In addition, it provides a new, safe and efficient logistics and supply-chain service channel for enterprises in Jiangxi Province to make an inroad into and expand their business in the ASEAN market.
