Machine Technology (MTECH), the authorized distributor of ICAN Brake products and solutions, has partnered with ICAN from Japan, one of the global pioneers in manufacturing industrial braking systems for port cranes and steel mills. Together, they are committed to improving operational efficiency, safety, and reliability in crane operations.

With decades of engineering expertise, ICAN specializes in the engineering design and manufacture of braking systems for Ship-to-Shore (STS), Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG), Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG), Goliath, and other heavy-duty cranes. Today, more than 60,000 ICAN brake units are operating worldwide, earning the trust of leading ports and industrial customers through their outstanding safety, durability, and stable braking performance.

For new crane projects, retrofit projects, and brake system upgrades, ICAN offers comprehensive support through its Japanese headquarters and service center in Thailand. MTECH works closely with customers to provide complete technical consulting, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and on-site services. Experienced engineers ensure that every system is properly installed and maintained according to the manufacturer’s standards, maximizing equipment performance and extending its service life.

Today, ICAN brake systems have earned the confidence of Thailand’s port industry as well as many countries around the world. They are recognized for delivering outstanding safety, operational efficiency, and long-term reliability. Nearly a thousand brake systems have already been successfully installed, such as B5, TIPS (B4), LCIT, Kerry Siam, LCB1, and Unithai Port in Samut Prakan Province.

Combining Japanese engineering excellence with responsive local service, the two companies will continue helping port operators achieve safer operations, higher productivity, and long-term sustainable performance.
