COSCO SHIPPING Supports Transport of Humanitarian Aid Supplies to Ethiopia

COSCO SHIPPING has supported the transportation of humanitarian aid supplies donated by Anta Group in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The shipment recently departed from Xiamen Port and is bound for Ethiopia, where the supplies will be delivered to refugee camps to support local communities.

Door-to-Door Logistics Support

The transportation is being handled through the door-to-door supply chain services of COSCO SHIPPING Freight, covering the entire logistics process from origin to final delivery.

The operation includes domestic trucking, export customs procedures, international ocean transport, and final clearance and distribution in Ethiopia. According to the company, the shipment is being overseen by a dedicated logistics team to ensure the timely and secure delivery of the aid materials.

Supporting Humanitarian Logistics

The shipment forms part of ongoing cooperation between COSCO SHIPPING and Anta Group in supporting humanitarian initiatives in Africa.

Over the past two years, COSCO SHIPPING has assisted Anta Group in transporting a total of 73 forty-foot containers of humanitarian supplies to several African countries, including Burundi, Kenya and Ethiopia.

The logistics support provided by COSCO SHIPPING contributes to the delivery of aid materials intended to support refugee communities and humanitarian programmes in the region.
