Hanseatic Global Terminals has completed the rebranding of the CNMP LH terminal in Port of Le Havre, which will now operate under the name Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre.
The move follows the company’s acquisition of a 60% majority stake in the terminal in March 2025, with the remaining 40% held by Seafrigo Group.
Investments and Operational Developments
Since the acquisition, Hanseatic Global Terminals has undertaken a series of investments aimed at strengthening the terminal’s operational capabilities. These include the purchase of 14 hybrid straddle carriers from Kalmar, with delivery expected in early 2026.
Benoit Klein was also appointed Managing Director of Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre to oversee the terminal’s operations and development.
The rebranding includes updates across terminal facilities, employee workwear, office environments and digital platforms. According to the company, the transition also forms part of broader efforts to standardise operational processes and service delivery across its global terminal network.
Strategic Role of Le Havre
Le Havre is among Europe’s 10 largest ports and serves as France’s leading maritime gateway, handling around three million TEUs annually. The port also provides strong hinterland connectivity to Paris and other major inland markets.
Terminal operators expect container volumes to continue growing, particularly in the refrigerated cargo segment.
Part of a Broader Terminal Expansion Strategy
Hanseatic Global Terminals, established in 2023 as part of the Hapag-Lloyd group, is focused on expanding its terminal and infrastructure portfolio.
The company aims to grow its network to around 30 terminals worldwide by 2030 as part of its long-term development strategy.
