New Dedicated Loop Cuts Transit Times and Boosts Capacity for Thai Trade
CNC, the intra-Asia specialist of the CMA CGM Group, has officially launched its new NT8 service, providing the fastest direct maritime connection between North China and Thailand. This strategic loop marks CNC’s first dedicated service linking the major northern Chinese ports of Xingang, Dalian, and Qingdao directly to Laem Chabang, bypassing traditional transshipment delays.
The service officially commenced with the CMA CGM QUELIMANE (voyage 0N800S1NC), which arrived at Xingang on 16 January 2026.
Market-Leading Transit Times
The NT8 is designed to meet the growing demand for “just-in-time” logistics between China’s industrial heartlands and Thailand’s Eastern Seaboard. By streamlining port calls, CNC offers highly competitive transit times:
- From Qingdao: Direct to Laem Chabang in just 9 days.
- From Dalian: Direct to Laem Chabang in 12 days.
- From Xingang: Direct to Laem Chabang in 14 days.
- South China Access: Rapid 5-day transit from Shekou to Laem Chabang.
The NT8 Port Rotation is: Xingang – Dalian – Qingdao – Hong Kong – Shekou – Laem Chabang – Hong Kong – Nansha – Xingang
Enhanced Planning for Thai Exporters
Beyond its Southbound speed, the NT8 significantly bolsters Northbound capacity and frequency. Thai exporters now have more sailing options to South China (Nansha/Hong Kong) and a seamless direct route back to North China.
With four vessels ranging from 1,500 to 2,800 TEU (including the FSL KELANG, CNC JAGUAR, and CNC LEOPARD), the service provides dedicated space for both dry and refrigerated cargo. This expansion reinforces Laem Chabang’s status as a premier regional hub while giving shippers greater certainty in their supply chain planning through CNC’s solely operated network.
