67,000 m² Facility Near Brasília Supports 135,000 Packages Daily, Bolstering Central-West E-commerce Hub
CEVA Logistics, a global leader in third-party logistics, has inaugurated a new Amazon fulfillment center in Santa Maria, Federal District, Brazil. Located approximately 30 kilometers from the capital city of Brasília, the new facility confirms the area as a strategic logistics hub for the central-west region of the country and reinforces the strong relationship between CEVA and Amazon Brazil.
The new 67,000 square meter fulfillment center is designed to support up to 135,000 packages daily, enabling Amazon Brazil to quickly and reliably reach its end-customers. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place earlier this month, attended by Federal District Governor Ibaneis Rocha, public authorities, and leadership from both Amazon and CEVA, to celebrate Amazon’s 15th fulfillment center in Brazil and its second in the Federal District.
Operational Excellence and Job Creation
The new operation is set to support the local economy by creating more than 1,400 new job opportunities and marks a strategic milestone for the region’s growing e-commerce segment. Ricardo Pagani, Director of Operations at Amazon Brazil, expressed excitement about the expansion, noting their commitment to contributing to the local economy by reinventing logistics through artificial intelligence and technology solutions.
The facility showcases CEVA’s commitment to operational excellence through advanced inventory management systems and intelligent integration of storage and control systems. Designed for maximum agility and accuracy, the center operates on a 24-hour service standard with a focus on safety and reliability, ensuring rapid order processing and seamless coordination. Furthermore, the fulfillment center incorporates sustainability practices to promote responsible resource use and reduce environmental impact, aligning with the sustainability commitments of both companies.
CEVA’s team completed the operational implementation in a highly efficient 11 weeks, demonstrating exceptional project execution to meet Amazon’s business requirements. By leveraging process governance, automation, analytics, and rigorous safety standards, the new facility delivers significant gains in productivity and predictability across the supply chain.

Continued Contract Logistics Growth in Brazil
Alejandro Olivera, Contract Logistics Leader for LATAM at CEVA Logistics, emphasized that this inauguration confirms Brasília as a strategic logistics hub and highlighted that such partnerships accelerate local job creation, strengthen the supplier ecosystem, and advance end-to-end sustainable logistics solutions.
CEVA Logistics is rapidly expanding its contract logistics operations across Brazil to support the country’s industry growth. In the last 12 months, CEVA has increased its warehousing footprint by more than 150,000 square meters, reaching a total of nearly 300,000 square meters across the nation. Thanks to an investment exceeding R$100 million, CEVA plans to add an additional 120,000 square meters by the end of 2025 and 200,000 square meters more over the following three years. The goal is to reach 620,000 square meters of contract logistics space by 2028, reinforcing CEVA’s position as a top provider across sectors like e-commerce, technology, and automotive.
