Third-Party Logistics Leader Selects Cloud-Native Solutions to Accelerate AI, Automation, and Operational Agility Across 800+ Sites
CEVA Logistics, a global leader in third-party logistics, has announced the start of a phased worldwide rollout of Manhattan Associates’ Active solutions across its global contract logistics operations. This strategic move is the next step in CEVA’s innovation program, designed to reinforce its future-ready technology stack and accelerate the deployment of cutting-edge solutions like AI, wearables, and cobots.
CEVA will deploy Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (WMS) and Manhattan Active Order Management (OMS). These cloud-native tools will provide a flexible, scalable, and resilient foundation to tailor CEVA’s offerings to specific customer requirements across its massive global footprint, which includes over 11 million square meters of warehouse space across approximately 800 sites.
Dual Technology Approach and Global Deployment
The integration of the Manhattan SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solutions will run alongside CEVA’s existing internal system, the CEVA Matrix WMS, creating a dual-technology approach. The Manhattan systems will be deployed at more than half of CEVA’s contract logistics sites, while the remaining locations will utilize the Matrix platform. This structure allows CEVA to perfectly align the chosen WMS to individual customer needs and complex supply chain requirements.
Deployment will begin at select locations across North America and Europe before rolling out to other global regions. The cloud-native architecture of the Manhattan solutions ensures they can handle large transaction volumes with zero downtime, enabling CEVA to quickly and efficiently onboard new customers and sites.
Driving Customer Value Through Visibility
The new Manhattan WMS and OMS solutions will significantly enhance CEVA’s customer engagement by providing advanced visibility and self-service data dashboards through its MyCEVA customer portal. This improved visibility supports better inventory and order control for CEVA’s clients.
Chris Walton, Senior Vice President of Global Contract Logistics at CEVA Logistics, highlighted that this deployment is a key deliverable on their longer-term strategy. It ensures they are perfectly placed to accelerate the use of the latest advances in data, AI, and automation for maximum customer benefit, while simultaneously driving maximum efficiency into all aspects of their global operations.
Eric Clark, CEO of Manhattan Associates, confirmed the synergy between the two companies, stating that Manhattan looks forward to providing CEVA with the technology needed to remain agile, react to global events, and stay ahead of competitors in the fast-moving world of third-party logistics.
