CEVA Logistics has officially launched its first Asia-Pacific Cross-Border Green Hub for its Ground & Rail business, strategically located at the newly completed Bukit Kayu Hitam Inland Customs Depot (ICD) in northern Malaysia. The facility, which has achieved GreenRE Gold certification, is expected to play a key role in enhancing the efficiency of regional cross-border trade.
The new CEVA hub offers a 1,000-square-metre cross-dock area designed to support high-volume cargo transfers. A notable feature of the site is its streamlined customs process, which allows for a one-time declaration for transit cargo. This has helped reduce lead times on cross-border transport by 35%, according to the company.
The hub operates in conjunction with CEVA’s Ground Command Centers across Asia-Pacific, which manage ground freight operations and provide real-time visibility and incident response support. This networked approach allows the company to optimise international trucking routes across ASEAN, offering cost-effective and time-efficient logistics solutions for businesses throughout the region.
The development of the Bukit Kayu Hitam Green Hub reinforces CEVA’s broader commitment to sustainable infrastructure and high-performance supply chain services, particularly in markets with growing regional trade flows.
