CEVA Logistics is expanding its presence in Central Africa with the construction of a new logistics base in the port area of Kribi, Cameroon. Scheduled to open between September 2025 and January 2026, the new facility will strengthen the company’s operational footprint in the region and support Cameroon’s growing trade volumes.
Facility to Boost Container and Export Cargo Capacity
The new platform is a 30,000 square meter site located approximately two kilometers from the Port Authority of Kribi, the country’s only deep-water port. It will feature 25,000 square meters of storage space for import and export containers, with the capacity to hold up to 2,200 TEUs. An additional 5,000 square meters of warehousing space will be dedicated to storing export products such as cotton, sesame, cocoa, and lumber.
This expansion complements CEVA Logistics’ existing operations in Cameroon, which include offices in Douala, Yaoundé, and Kribi, as well as a 20,000-square-meter container depot in Douala.
A Strategic Investment for Regional Trade
The investment in Kribi is a key part of CEVA’s strategy to become a major logistics and transport player across Africa. The company already operates in 24 African countries and plans to expand into four more—Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, and the Republic of Congo—by the end of 2025. According to Mehdi Ghozayel, Head of Central Africa Cluster at CEVA Logistics, the new facility is designed to meet the growing logistical needs of the region’s economic operators, reinforcing CEVA’s role as a partner in Central Africa’s economic development.
