On June 28, ten 40-foot containers of Vietnamese goods such as sportswear were loaded on a freight train running through the New Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor from Qinzhou Port to Chengdu. It marks the successful operation of an international freight train by COSCO SHIPPING Logistics on the New Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor and the creation of a new transit logistics service customized for customers.

The batch of goods departed from Haiphong Port in Vietnam. After transiting Qinzhou Port of Beibu Gulf, it was bound for Chengdu by the new Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor freight train. Then, the batch of goods was loaded onto the “Chengdu-Europe” Express Train and transported to Europe.

The new logistics channel extends the transport business through the Western Land-sea Trade Corridor from the current simple domestic import and export business to the international transit business to realize the dual circulation of the domestic and international economy. It also significantly improves logistics efficiency and reduces the cost for customers.
