Westports Malaysia took part in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025 in Shanghai, supporting Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) as a strategic partner and contributing to national efforts to promote Malaysia’s halal economy internationally.
Through its participation, Westports highlighted its role in port operations and end-to-end logistics services in supporting trade flows linked to the halal sector. The engagement forms part of broader initiatives to strengthen Malaysia’s position within global halal supply chains.
During the event, Datuk Eddie Lee, Group Managing Director of Westports Holdings Berhad, received an appreciation memento presented by Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in recognition of Westports’ contribution to initiatives supporting industry collaboration and the development of the halal ecosystem.
Westports said it remains focused on facilitating trade growth and enhancing Malaysia’s competitiveness in international markets.
