Pacific International Lines (PIL) has successfully launched its new North China Indonesia (NCI) Service, enhancing intra-Asia connectivity by offering a direct weekly service between China, Singapore, and Indonesia.
The inaugural sailing of the NCI service commenced on 17 June 2025, operated by the vessel Kota Sejati. On 24 June, the vessel made its first scheduled call under the new service at the Port of Xiamen, China. This was followed by maiden port calls at Jakarta on 5 July and Surabaya on 8 July.
To commemorate the new service, local teams in Indonesia hosted welcoming ceremonies at both Jakarta and Surabaya terminals, joined by representatives from terminal operators and the vessel’s master. These visits also provided an opportunity for PIL employees to go on board and gain deeper insight into the working environment of the sea staff.

In addition, a dedicated customer launch event was held in Jakarta on 26 June to promote the new offering. PIL’s Intra Asia Services team was present to highlight how the NCI service delivers enhanced efficiency and reliability for importers and exporters operating in the region.
The NCI service strengthens PIL’s network in the region by offering direct connections between key ports in Tianjin, Qingdao, Xiamen, Singapore, Jakarta, and Surabaya. It also supports the growing demand in both dry and reefer cargo segments. The new service underlines PIL’s ongoing commitment to increasing regional competitiveness and providing greater value to customers through reliable and timely solutions.
The full rotation of the NCI service is: Tianjin – Qingdao – Xiamen – Singapore – Jakarta – Surabaya – Singapore – Tianjin.
