MSC has announced the launch of its enhanced standalone Eagle Service, establishing a more robust direct link between Australia, New Zealand, and the USA East Coast. Commencing in February 2026, this upgraded weekly service will deploy 11 vessels to ensure reliable direct connectivity for trade in the region.

Expanded Reach and Panama Connections

The enhanced Eagle Service will offer direct calls at key ports, with a comprehensive rotation including Philadelphia, Savannah, Freeport, Rodman, Papeete, Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Tauranga, Rodman, Cristobal, and back to Philadelphia. This route is designed to provide seamless connections through Panama, extending reach to and from Europe, Central America, South America, and various USA Gulf ports. The move reinforces MSC’s commitment to offering an independent and direct shipping solution for this vital trade lane.
