CULines has officially expanded its Southeast Asian presence with the launch of the China Philippines Express (NP2) service. This new weekly loop, which commenced its maiden voyage from Qingdao on 1 January 2026, is designed to provide a high-speed transportation corridor for shippers moving goods between China’s primary industrial hubs and the Philippines.

The service is operated by the vessel UGL SHENZHEN, a 1,100 TEU-class containership well-suited for the rapid turnarounds required in the intra-Asia trade.

A Multi-Tiered Regional Network

The NP2 service joins CULines’ existing portfolio to create a comprehensive service matrix for the Philippine market. By integrating the NP2 with the carrier’s other core services, CULines now offers specialized coverage across all major Chinese gateways:

  • NP2 (New): Connects North China (Qingdao) and East China (Shanghai/Xiamen) directly to Manila South.
  • CP8: Provides a fast 4-day transit from Xiamen to both Manila North and South, catering specifically to cold-chain and reefer cargo.
  • SVP: Focused on the South China market, linking Nansha and Xiamen to Manila North on a 7-day round-trip schedule.

The NP2 Port Rotation is: Qingdao – Shanghai – Xiamen – Manila South – Qingdao

Supporting Trade Growth

The launch of NP2 comes as trade volumes between China and the Philippines continue to grow, driven by electronics, e-commerce, and agricultural exports. By offering direct calls from North China, CULines is helping regional manufacturers avoid the delays and costs associated with transshipment at larger hubs.

This expansion is part of a broader fleet and network upgrade for CULines in 2026. Following the recent delivery of several newbuilds and the opening of an expanded Singapore regional headquarters, the carrier is positioning itself to offer more reliable, fixed-day schedules across its entire Southeast Asian network.
