CULines has expanded its Southeast Asia and Middle East service network with several upgraded sailings that are now fully operational, delivering improved frequency, port coverage, and transit times to meet growing customer demand across both intra-Asia and emerging Gulf corridors.

The expanded network includes the recently launched South China–Philippines Service (SVP), Xiamen–Manila Service (CX1), and Southeast Asia–Gulf Service (SGS), all of which commenced service between mid-April and late April 2025.

South China–Philippines Service (SVP): Weekly Fast Turnaround to Manila

The SVP service, which commenced operations on April 23, offers a direct weekly connection between South China and the Philippines. The fixed rotation calls at Nansha, Xiamen, and North Port, Manila, operating on a seven-day round-trip schedule. The service targets growing short-haul demand driven by electronics, consumer goods, and regional manufacturing supply chains between Southern China and the Philippines.

Xiamen–Manila Service (CX1): Additional Weekly Coverage

The CX1 service began on April 13, strengthening CULines’ intra-Asia offering with a weekly link between Xiamen and Manila (South Port). Like the SVP, the CX1 operates on a fast seven-day turnaround, supporting importers and exporters with additional frequency for time-sensitive cargoes and transshipment needs.

Southeast Asia–Gulf Service (SGS): Expanded Direct Gulf Reach

CULines’ Southeast Asia–Gulf Service (SGS), which launched on April 24, extends direct port coverage from Vietnam and Thailand into key Gulf and Indian ports. The rotation includes: Cai Mep Port (Ho Chi Minh City) – Laem Chabang – Port Klang – Nhava Sheva – Jebel Ali – Dammam – Mundra – Port Klang – Cai Mep Port, operating on a 42-day round-trip cycle.

Beyond its mainline calls, the SGS service integrates with CULines’ IMR feeder network via transshipment hubs in Nhava Sheva and Jebel Ali, allowing expanded access to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets and India’s fast-growing west coast trade.

The service upgrades come as both Southeast Asia and the Middle East trade experience growing volumes fueled by shifting global sourcing strategies, nearshoring trends, and increased cross-regional demand for consumer and industrial goods. CULines’ enhanced network reflects the carrier’s ongoing strategy to secure niche regional positions while supporting broader global supply chain diversification away from more traditional east-west patterns.
