Dedicated Logistics Ensures Safe and On-Schedule Arrival of Exhibits for the 8th China International Import Expo
COSCO SHIPPING has successfully managed and dispatched the first shipment of special exhibits from New Zealand and South Pacific Island countries destined for the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE). The container vessel M.V. “COSCO FELIXSTOWE” departed fully loaded on September 20 from Auckland, New Zealand’s largest port, and is scheduled for delivery to Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port in mid-October. The 8th CIIE is set to be held in Shanghai from November 5 to November 10.
As the officially recommended international logistics service provider for CIIE for eight consecutive years, COSCO SHIPPING Lines provided comprehensive end-to-end support for this consignment, upholding its service philosophy of “We Deliver Value.”
Diverse Cargo Highlights Regional Specialties
The cargo on board features a diverse range of signature products from the participating nations. Exhibits from New Zealand include high-value items such as dairy products, alpaca fiber products, ice cream, health supplements, and local natural mineral water. The South Pacific Island nation of Niue is contributing health supplements, natural fruit beverages, coconut oil, and traditional handicrafts.
Ms. Zhou, Head of the CIIE Working Group of COSCO SHIPPING Lines (New Zealand) Ltd, emphasized that the CIIE serves as a vital bridge for enterprises from New Zealand and the South Pacific region to access the massive Chinese market. COSCO SHIPPING’s customized logistics solutions cover every critical stage, including cargo collection, cold chain preservation, professional maritime transport, customs clearance, and final delivery to the exhibition hall, guaranteeing a safe and on-schedule arrival.
Strengthening China-New Zealand Trade Links
This logistics support comes amid deepening bilateral trade relations between China and New Zealand, particularly following the 2021 upgrade protocol of the China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement. As a key participant in this economic cooperation, COSCO SHIPPING currently operates four container shipping routes in New Zealand, covering five major ports: Auckland, Lyttelton, Napier, Wellington, and Tauranga.
Through concrete actions like this special shipment, COSCO SHIPPING reinforces its commitment as a leading international logistics provider. The company plans to continue providing high-quality and efficient supply chain solutions to help more local specialty products from New Zealand and the South Pacific enter China and the global market.
