Pacific International Lines (PIL) has announced the launch of its new weekly Indonesia Thailand Service (ITS), designed to enhance intra-Southeast Asia connectivity with direct shipping links connecting Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
The new service is scheduled to commence its maiden voyage from Port Klang on September 5, 2026.
Service Structure and Port Rotation
The ITS service will deploy three vessels operating on a weekly frequency, linking six regional ports to facilitate growing intra-Asia trade volumes:
- Port Rotation: Port Klang – Singapore – Laem Chabang – Bangkok – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Port Klang – Semarang – Surabaya – Port Klang.
- Geographic Coverage: Provides direct ocean connections linking major industrial and container hubs across four primary Southeast Asian markets.
Regional Network Integration
Tonnie Lim, Chief Trade Officer at PIL, noted that the launch of the ITS loop expands PIL’s intra-Asia port coverage and improves overall transit times.
By connecting regional feeder services with PIL’s broader ocean network, the carrier aims to support expanding manufacturing and supply chain integration across the Southeast Asian trade corridor.
