Intra-Asia carrier CULines has launched its new JSM (Japan–Straits–Malaysia) service, commencing operations on September 5, 2026.
Operated through a slot-exchange cooperation with Ocean Network Express (ONE), the service establishes direct container shipping connections between primary Japanese ports and Southeast Asian transshipment hubs.

Service Rotation and Routing Capabilities
The JSM service loop provides weekly coverage designed to connect Japanese exports with high-growth markets in South Asia, the Middle East, and the Red Sea:
- Port Rotation: Tokyo – Yokohama – Nagoya – Kobe – Keelung – Hong Kong – West Port Klang – Singapore – Tokyo.
- Primary Japanese Port Access: Direct calls at major industrial centers including Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Kobe.
- Transshipment Integration: Leverages West Port Klang and Singapore as central consolidation nodes for onward relay services to India, Pakistan, the Middle East, and Red Sea destinations.
Strategic Network Impact

By partnering with ONE on a slot-sharing framework, CULines expands its geographic coverage across the Asia-Pacific region while optimizing vessel space utilization and offering shippers shorter transit times into global trade lanes.
