Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” LINE) recently participated in Sea Japan 2026, an international maritime exhibition held at Tokyo Big Sight from 22 to 24 April 2026.
At the event, the company showcased a range of initiatives through panel displays and video presentations, highlighting its efforts to support the transition towards low-carbon and carbon-free solutions across its operations and the wider maritime sector.
Showcasing Decarbonisation and Innovation
The exhibition featured several of “K” LINE’s key projects, including its offshore support vessel business, the “Seawing” automated kite system, the “K-Assist Project” focused on autonomous ship operations, and carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiatives.
These developments reflect the company’s broader strategy to reduce emissions and advance technological innovation in shipping.
Industry Seminar on Dry Bulk Shipping
During the event, Michitomo Iwashita, Senior Managing Corporate Officer responsible for the Dry Bulk Carriers Unit, delivered a seminar on the “Future of Dry Bulk Shipping”.
The session took place on 23 April at the exhibition venue and addressed key trends and developments shaping the dry bulk sector.
