LEO Global Logistics has signed a memorandum of understanding with Thailand Post and Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation to establish a cross-border logistics corridor linking Thailand, Vietnam and China.
The initiative focuses on developing multimodal transport solutions to improve transit times, reduce logistics costs and support growing demand across regional trade and e-commerce sectors.
Strengthening Regional Connectivity
The agreement outlines cooperation in enhancing cross-border logistics and e-commerce connectivity between Thailand and Vietnam, alongside efforts to expand trade routes across the wider Thailand–Vietnam–China economic corridor.
It also includes collaboration on market insights and the development of distribution channels to support regional trade flows.
Supporting E-Commerce Integration
As part of the partnership, the parties will explore integration between Thailand Post’s ThailandPostMart platform and Viettel Post’s VipoMall, aimed at expanding cross-border e-commerce capabilities and improving market access for businesses.
Joint marketing and business development initiatives are also planned to support future trade growth.
Leveraging Complementary Capabilities
Under the agreement, LEO will act as the international logistics service provider, delivering end-to-end solutions including cross-border transport and customs clearance.
Thailand Post will strengthen domestic distribution and access to retail and e-commerce channels within Thailand, while Viettel Post will provide infrastructure and digital platform support in Vietnam, including operations at its Viettel Logistics Park in Lang Son.
The facility, covering more than 140 hectares, serves as a key hub for cross-border logistics, supporting high volumes of vehicle traffic and facilitating regional cargo flows.
Expanding Regional Trade Opportunities
The three companies aim to further develop two-way fulfilment solutions to support the movement of goods across the corridor, particularly in sectors such as consumer goods, agriculture and high-value products.
The partnership reflects broader efforts to enhance logistics integration across Southeast Asia and strengthen connectivity between regional manufacturing and consumer markets.
