LEO Global Logistics (LEO) has moved to secure a dominant position in Thailand’s premium agricultural export market by signing a four-way Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The partnership, which includes NTF Intergroup, AMARC, and LEO Sourcing & Supply Chain (LSSC), creates an end-to-end “one-stop” ecosystem specifically designed to transport Thai durians to China via the China-Laos Railway.

The collaboration aims to solve the historical “pain points” of the durian trade: inconsistent quality, slow transit times, and complex regulatory compliance.

A Unified Upstream-to-Downstream Ecosystem

The partnership leverages the specialized strengths of each member to control the entire lifecycle of the fruit, ensuring that premium durians reach Chinese consumers in peak condition.

  • LEO Global Logistics (The Link): Managing international logistics with a focus on cold-chain rail transport. By utilizing the China-Laos Railway, LEO aims to slash transit times compared to traditional sea freight, which can be prone to port congestion.
  • LSSC (The Market): Driving customer acquisition in China and managing supplier networks to ensure a steady pipeline of premium fruit.
  • NTF Intergroup (The Source): Overseeing the selection, quality sorting of durian pulp, and standardized packaging tailored to Chinese retail requirements.
  • AMARC (The Guard): Conducting rigorous quality control, including chemical residue testing and phytosanitary inspections, to ensure 100% compliance with GACC (General Administration of Customs of China) regulations.

Elevating Thai Export Standards

The move comes at a critical time as competition in the Chinese durian market intensifies with the entry of Vietnamese and Philippine imports. By integrating testing and logistics, the partnership offers a “verified” supply chain that builds brand trust for Thai produce.

Mr. Kettivit Sittisoontornwong, CEO of LEO Global Logistics, noted that this collaboration is about more than just moving boxes. “We are ensuring an efficient, transparent, and world-class process from upstream to downstream,” he stated. He emphasized that this model provides a replicable blueprint for exporting other high-value Thai agricultural products, such as mangosteens and longans, in the future.

2026 Strategy: Rail-First Logistics

The focus on the cross-border rail route through Laos is a strategic response to the infrastructure upgrades completed in late 2025. With new multi-modal transshipment facilities at the Thai-Laos border, the partnership can now offer a seamless “land-bridge” that avoids the volatility of maritime shipping, ensuring that fresh and frozen durians maintain their market value through rapid delivery.
