ONE Stake Hutchison Laem Chabang Terminal

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 30% stake in Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal Limited, strengthening its position in Thailand’s key maritime gateway.

The terminal is located at Laem Chabang Port, a central hub within the country’s Eastern Economic Corridor and a major gateway for regional and international trade.

Strengthening Presence in a Key Gateway

Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal operates multiple facilities at the port, including Terminal D as well as Terminals C1, C2 and A3, supporting container handling across key trade routes.

The investment provides ONE with long-term access to terminal capacity in one of Southeast Asia’s busiest ports, reinforcing its network strategy in the region.

Supporting Network and Capacity Strategy

Hiroki Tsujii, Global Chief Officer of Product and Network at ONE, said the investment supports the company’s efforts to secure capacity at strategic global gateways.

He added that the terminal’s operational capabilities and focus on advanced port technology align with ONE’s emphasis on efficiency and service reliability.

The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
