In a major announcement, MSC unveiled its latest service, Britannia. This service aims to enhance port connections through a unique corridor linking China, Vietnam, and Liverpool.

The newly established corridor offers direct access to the port of Vung Tau, thus establishing a direct service to Liverpool and connecting to MSC’s major hubs in Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Hamburg. This, in turn, links Scandinavia and Baltic Destinations. This strategic move is set to expand coverage from China and Vietnam to the UK and the Northwest Continent.

The new service’s maiden voyage will be undertaken by the vessel MSC DENISSE X on 1 July, with the assigned voyage number QB427W.

The complete route for the new service is outlined as follows: Shanghai – Ningbo – Yantian – Vung Tau – Liverpool – Rotterdam – Antwerp – Hamburg – London gateway – Singapore – Shanghai.

This highly anticipated service, facilitating direct connections between Asia and Liverpool, is poised to complement MSC’s existing direct services to London and Felixstowe, thereby creating an unparalleled premium service network across the UK.
