SeaLead, a fast-growing global shipping line, has introduced a new direct service, the Türkiye – Italy Express (TIE), to connect Türkiye to Italy. The new weekly service is designed to support growing trade flows between Asia, the Mediterranean, and Europe, while also reducing transit times for customers. The inaugural sailing is scheduled to depart from Gemlik on June 25, 2025.
Service Details and Key Benefits
The TIE service’s port rotation includes Gemlik, Izmit, Istanbul, Aliaga, Salerno, La Spezia, and Genoa. By offering a direct weekly schedule, SeaLead aims to minimize the need for transshipments and provide more predictable supply chain operations. The new route complements SeaLead’s existing network and utilizes a strategic routing through the Suez Canal to enable faster connectivity from Asia to the Mediterranean and Europe.
Strategic Expansion in the Region
The launch of the TIE service follows the recent opening of a new SeaLead office in Spain, which further strengthens the company’s presence in Europe. According to Doreen Yeo, SeaLead’s Chief Commercial Officer, the new service will enhance connectivity across key trade corridors, providing customers with efficient access to growing markets and optimized end-to-end solutions. Kadir Oruc, SeaLead’s Regional Managing Director for Europe and the Mediterranean, noted that the TIE service reflects the company’s commitment to providing agile and dependable logistics solutions across the region.
