Pacific International Lines (PIL) proudly participated as a Gold Sponsor at the 9th Singapore Regional Business Forum (SRBF), which was held for the first time in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 19, 2025.

Forum Theme and Distinguished Guests

The forum was opened by Mr. S. S. Teo, who serves as both the Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and the Executive Chairman of PIL. The theme of the event was “Business Resilience in Asia: Advancing Regional Business Growth Amid Global Uncertainty.”

At PIL’s exhibition booth, the team, comprising colleagues from PIL Thailand and Singapore, was honored to welcome Dr. Tan See Leng, Singapore’s Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology. During the visit, PIL showcased how the company supports trade and shipping both in Thailand and across the broader region.

PIL’s Commitment to Thailand and Regional Connectivity

Mr. Lionel Chatelet, Chief Commercial Officer of PIL, commented on the company’s involvement, stating that PIL was a proud sponsor of the SRBF in Bangkok, recognizing Thailand as an important part of its network. He highlighted that PIL had recently increased its involvement in the country by setting up its own agency in Bangkok.

Mr. Chatelet further emphasized PIL’s connectivity from Thailand, noting that the shipping line connects businesses directly to Singapore and Oceania, and, via Singapore and China, to key global trades in South America, Africa, the Middle East, and India. He concluded that the forum was a valuable opportunity for PIL to showcase its services and engage in meaningful discussions with partners and customers on growing trade both locally and regionally.
