Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has received two honours at the 2026 Singapore Environment Achievement Awards (SEAA), recognising the company’s environmental performance and sustainability initiatives.
The awards were presented on 26 August 2026 and included the Overall Outstanding Achievement Award – Regional and the Award for Innovation & Design.
Recognising Environmental Performance
The Overall Outstanding Achievement Award – Regional recognises OOCL’s broader sustainability approach, including environmental governance, operational performance and its long-term decarbonisation efforts across global operations.
The Innovation & Design Award highlights the company’s work in areas such as next-generation vessel technologies, digital voyage optimisation and smart fleet management, which are intended to improve operational efficiency and reduce emissions.
Ms. Karen Lam, Managing Director of OOCL (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., received the awards on behalf of the company.
Supporting Maritime Decarbonisation
Organised by the Singapore Environment Council (SEC), the Singapore Environment Achievement Awards recognise organisations demonstrating strong environmental performance and commitment across Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region.
OOCL said the awards reflect its ongoing efforts to support the decarbonisation of maritime transport through technology, operational improvements and more sustainable logistics solutions.
The company added that it will continue investing in initiatives aimed at improving environmental performance while maintaining reliable services for customers and supporting global trade.
