MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) Thailand held a grand opening ceremony for its new office in Songkhla on January 26th as part of its commitment to expanding its business hub and supporting importers and exporters in Thailand’s southern region. The event was also an opportunity for MSC to express gratitude to its valued customers in the Southern region through a dinner party.

The grand opening ceremony took place on the 6th floor of the Kumphol Hong R D Yer Building, which is now the location of MSC Thailand’s new office in Songkhla. The new office has been relocated from the old location to enhance convenience for customers in the Southern region. The Chief Executive of the PAO Songkhla, the Port President, and the Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce attended the grand opening ceremony and cut the ribbon with Mr. Gaspard Vandamme, Managing Director of MSC Thailand.

After the grand opening ceremony, MSC Thailand hosted a thank-you dinner party at Buri Sriphu Boutique Hotel. The company expressed its gratitude to its customers for their long-lasting support and collaboration and also held a Lucky Draw to give special rewards to the attendees.

During the thank you party, Mr. Gaspard Vandamme, Ms. Rungruedee Kurutuch, Deputy Managing Director, and Mr. Sudij Kohsalah, Assistant Branch Manager of the MSC Thailand’s Songkla office, thanked their valued customers for their continuous support. They also shared insights into MSC Thailand’s vision and goals for the upcoming year, reflecting the company’s ambitions in Thailand’s market, particularly in the Southern region, which has a high potential for shipping trading, with a high capacity for goods such as medical gloves, canned fish, frozen sea foods, etc.

Currently, MSC has three offices in Thailand located in strategic areas, including Bangkok, Laem Chabang, and Songkhla, providing comprehensive and efficient support for Thailand’s operators. In addition, the expansion of the business hub in Songkla is meant to facilitate customers in the Southern region to benefit from MSC’s global shipping network with weekly shipping services from Songkla to other major ports, such as Singapore Port in Singapore and Tanjung Pelepas Port in Malaysia. Customers can also use Door-to-Door road shipping services from MSC for shipping between destinations and Songkla Port.
